Not everyone gets a second chance at love, but Joy and I did. We were both married before, and never took for granted how lucky we were to have found each other. We had 35 wonderful years together, right up until her passing in April, 2013.
From our first kiss, I adored her, and that never changed. She gave my life meaning, and filled it with love, joy and laughter.
When I got to know her and realized what a wonderful, strong and loving person she was, I thought, I cannot lose this woman. But now I have lost her, and that has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to endure.
